Today I've been feeling a bit nostalgic and decided to look back on my early days as a villain. It brought a smile to my face remembering the first act of villainy I ever committed.

I was just a young boy then, tinkering with gadgets in my bedroom. My mother asked me to clean my room before dinner, but I was too busy creating a device to control the neighborhood dogs. My plan was to unleash them on the local ice cream truck and steal all the popsicles.

When the ice cream truck arrived, I activated my device and the dogs charged at it. But instead of stealing the popsicles, they started chasing me instead! I ran around the block with the pack of dogs nipping at my heels, until my mother caught me and scolded me for terrorizing the neighborhood.

Looking back, it was a silly plan. But it was the start of my path to becoming the greatest villain the world has ever known. And who knows, maybe one day I'll finally get those popsicles.

Alrighty! @number-one-shadisper-shipper and I binged the Knuckles series today, so time for thoughts! SPOILER ALERT.

I'll admit the show wasn't perfect. I've seen the negative reviews, and I kinda get where they come from. BUT! I did enjoy this show greatly! And I'm not here to complain. Time for some happy thoughts, y'all! 💙🤩

I think you need to have a love, not just tolerance, for the SCU in order to properly enjoy this show. I do have such, so I had a lot of fun with it.

There were definitely scenes from every episode that had me either squealing, laughing, crying, or flipping out. But my favorite was likely the first episode, because come on, we saw the Wachowski family! Most of them, anyway! While I missed Tom's presence, I was grateful for that comment from Maddie about him being "out of town," so he wasn't just gone for no reason.

The SECOND it showed our three space babies hanging out together in their room?! I SCREAMED. THE BOYS!!!!

Tails sitting on his bed tinkering with one of his gizmos, Sonic rocking out to music with an air guitar, and Knuckles exercising from one of the ceiling planks. IT'S THEM!!! They're just hanging out, doing their thing, looking oh so much like brothers. And Sonic's narration at the beginning was GOLD. 🤣💙

Even though we didn't get enough of Maddie being a parent, we definitely got a nice chunk for it only lasting part of an episode. Maddie called Knuckles "one of our kids" (that had me SCREECHING). The angry mama vibes were GOLDEN. 🤣 The way she made breakfast for them, the "Boys, breakfast is ready!" I love the normalcy of it! Can't wait to see more in the future! (Her calling to them with "boys" is somehow just the sweetest thing and I'm melting.)

The poor mailman being like "I just wanna go home, man" 🤣

We were right, fellas, Knuckles had no idea what being grounded meant. 🤣 Although the way Sonic piped up with "Oh, I definitely know what it means," has me suspecting that Sonic himself has gotten grounded a decent amount before. 😂

Knuckles trying to talk back, and Maddie going, "ExCUSE ME?!" then just making those tiny, terrifying noises and Sonic being like "Bro don't mess with Mom when she's mad" (okay, he didn't say "mom" and that made me sad, but the mom vibes were 110% there so I'm here for it). 😂 And since Knuckles snuck out and later Wade said, several times, "Aren't you grounded?" seems to confirm that this entire show is basically what Knuckles does when he's grounded. 🤣 Although ... his comment about not being able to be grounded because he had no home made me very sad. 😭

I did not have an issue with so much Wade screentime! Sure, he isn't my favorite SCU character, but I love what this show did with him! I'd already seen his moments in the movies (like nearly shooting Robotnik in the face with an actual handgun). I like how they gave him actual family issues; a dad who abandoned him and his family, a realistic sister, a mom. Bad family memories. Awkward reunions. They could've made it a joke, but they didn't, and I greatly appreciate that. Especially since I've witnessed firsthand how painful family separations can be. 😔

All the emotional talks Wade and Knuckles had caught me off guard in the best way! The way they talked about their different family issues, the way they talked of betrayal from friends, and being left alone, hit way harder than I was prepared for. Especially that talk they had at the burger place in the middle of the night? Oof. Good talk right there.

Also, even though they took a "show don't tell" take with it, I loved how Knuckles relaxed more and more throughout the show. In the beginning, he couldn't rest, he couldn't sit back and have a genuine good time. But the more he hung out with Wade and his family, the more he learned. He learned about music and found "his jam" (that was literally amazing btw). He watched movies with Mrs. Whipple and ate snacks in the hotel room in Reno and watched more movies. He had his teenager moments of rolling his eyes and rebelling, but he was so well portrayed here, I loved it. I felt for him.

Despite the bizarre nature of the episode "Flames of Disaster," (we were cracking up so hard) I'm trying to glean bits of the truth of Knuckles's story from the crazy musical play that Pachacamac put on in Wade's dream. I mean, "Longclaw" and her tribe were there, and ... what the heck was that giant demon thing?! Iblis?! Does our Knuckles Wachowski have an actual history with freaking Iblis?!?! 😱🔥

I was deeply intrigued by the two main antagonists, especially at the implication that G.U.N. did seem to exist before the events of the first movie?! Did it exist, get disbanded after the Maria incident, then get reformed?! My brain is exploding. 🤯 I was even more shocked that they apparently died? I guess I shouldn't be surprised, the Wachowski kids don't seem to have much qualms about getting rid of the baddies for good as the game versions do. That was a terrifying phenomenon, what happened with the two rings. 🫣

And then the Buyer getting crushed by the giant glass ball 👀

Although in those last two episodes, I admit I was freaking out and legitimately near tears at Wade's seemingly having to "betray" Knuckles. Before the reveal that all was in good communication, all I could think was how relaxed Knuckles finally seemed, chilling in the hotel room, being excited about whatever Wade wanted to "show" him, questioning whether it was a song, him declaring that he was going to bring his favorite hat, 🥹 all I could think was of their previous discussions about betrayal from friends and family, and when Knuckles called Wade "my friend" right before the elevator doors closed, I just about sobbed. I was like "please, don't let him be betrayed, don't let him have come all this way and relaxed so much only to get 'betrayed' once again by someone he's come to consider a friend." 😭 We heaved a HUGE sigh of relief when it revealed he was aware of the trap the whole time. 😪

Maternal instincts went nuts when he got so badly hurt in that final battle 😭 I literally reached for the screen several times and was right back to almost weeping 🥲 And someone tell me I wasn't the only one noticing the parallel in that scene with Wade standing in front of his unconscious body the way Tom did with Sonic in the first movie. That, PLUS Knuckles's epic comeback, and his retrieval of his own power?!?! EPIC!!!!

The ending was abrupt, sure, but the pure joy on Knuckles's face after everything as he jumped up to high five Wade was just too sweet. 🥹

So yes, even though I would have loved just a little more, a return to Green Hills, a reunion with Maddie, Sonic, and Tails, I adored this show. It was a wild ride, full of laughs, tears, excited screeching, etc. 💙💛❤️ I don't care what anyone says, nothing will make me hate it.

Chuck had heard of what his sister-in-law had been told by some crackpot oracle and tried to head off Aleena as she dropped off her children

However, he was only able to locate retrieve Sonic, and, due to the circumstances, believed his other nieces to be dead

Furious with both Aleena and himself, he went underground with Sonic

Chuck and Sonic were on their own for a few years, with Chuck helping the resistance where he could while helping Sonic figure out and work on his speed

Sonic (8) found an abandoned Tails (3) when he was exploring a woodlands area during one of their "Camping Trips" and brought him home

Chuck wasn't planning on adopting Tails (having planned on trying to locate the pups parents or at least drop him off at the Sanctuary), but ended up getting as attached to the kit as much as Sonic had

He was mostly winging it with them (apparently most people don't let their 4 year old disassemble and reassemble a tank engine to see how it works or check their 9 year old's running speed with a police speedometer)

He lost his leg during his last 1-1 encounter with Robotnik at the start of his takeover (a fair enough trade for the destroying the dictator's eyes and arm in his opinion)

Chuck was the initial reason Robotnik hated hedgehogs due to their shared history

When Sonia's super strength revealed itself, Elodie worked with her daughter personally on her control, working with her in their gym as well as hiring self defense trainers for Sonia to have a good outlet

Went full Mama Bear mode on Sleet and Dingo when they DARED suggest arresting her daughter

Her arrest caused much scandal amongst the aristocrats, as she was the one most turned to when they needed a listening ear, and a resulting source of several dozen secrets NO ONE wanted to reach Robotnik's ears

if shadow was in frontiers, his storyline would involve him learning to be able to accept help (since he'd be powerless and forced to rely on sonic) + sage would wonder why he is against eggman despite being basically a robotnik himself, to which shadow would ask why she is loyal to eggman and she would reflect on this

shadow would be dismissive of lancelot, wouldnt consider him to be the same person as him

rouge would maliciously tease shadow about his crush on sonic at first, but after she's had her laughs she'd pull back and just leave him to do his own thing. omega would not care but he would swear to not kill sonic

if sonic found out shadow liked him he wouldnt really be direct about it, other than maybe teasing shadow about it to get under his skin like usual (and that's what shadow likes about him and he hates that he likes it)

tails would be somewhat offput by sonic and shadow dating (LOL)

boom episode where amy tries to do couple's therapy with sonic and shadow. trying to get them to say anything is agonizing. meanwhile eggman is mad they didnt get him, the actual doctor, to do it, and fights with amy for control over the session. it ends with sonic and shadow finally airing out their grievances and agreeing to see other people, only to both end up on knuckles' doorstep (ian confirmed sonknuxadow truther?)

SILVER IS HESITANT ABOUT MAKING NEW FRIENDS BCUZ HES USED TO SEEING THEM DIE? (insane thing to say)

Headcanon: Sonic SatAM and Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog take place in the same universe.

In both of these series, Tails is a very young child, too young to go on missions in SatAM while in Adventures he's almost always tagging along with Sonic (except when he gets kidnapped, which is 60% of the episodes).

So. SatAM is the real world, and Adventures is the bedtime stories Sonic tells Tails so he won't be scared.

Think about it. Think about how much the fever-dream episodes of Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog could easily be a teenager telling a younger child exaggerated stories to cheer them up or calm them down.

Tails misses his parents? Sonic invents the horrible Mama Robotnik to make him laugh about how much she bullies Robotnik.

Tails is worried that Sonic is gonna forget all about him because he's in love with Sally? Sonic has a story ready about Breezy, the robotic hedgehog Robotnik tried to trap him with, and how he's learned his lesson not to forget about his little buddy.

Tails is scared Robotnik's gonna capture him? Sonic has story after story loaded up about dramatic rescues and escapes, of him going to the ends of Mobius to save Tails, of Tails outsmarting Robotnik.

And, because Sally's standing in the doorway listening in, Sonic adds a "special message" at the end of every story to give it a moral, even if it doesn't make sense.

But then again, where's the fun in that? I love being a villain, and I wouldn't have it any other way. And who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to create a robot that bakes cookies just like my mother used to. A villain's gotta have his priorities straight, after all.

Aha! Shadouge babies time! I made my favorite ship some fan children and it's finally time to post them. The picture quality wasn't that good so I tried to adjust the filter. Didn't really work out, but oh well.

Anyway, introducing the Robotnik kids! Ember, Spark, and Dawn!

Ember

- Age: 16

- Male

- Adopted

- A quiet, reserved, and socially awkward little dork. He will stare at you silently to get your attention because he’s too scared to interrupt whatever you’re doing.

- Definitely traumatized by GUN.

- Never wears gloves or shoes when he can get away with it.

- Ember was created by GUN in an attempt to make a perfect version of Project Shadow, one GUN could control completely and use as their personal weapon. Ember shares none of Shadow’s DNA and is a full hedgehog. He possesses Chaos Abilities and they are much more stable than Shadow’s powers, so he doesn’t need inhibitors. Ember was raised by GUN until he was roughly seven years old. At that point, he was discovered by Rouge and Shadow. After spending several months with him, they discovered the terrible way GUN treated Ember. Outraged, the couple took the organization to court. In the end, they won the battle and Ember’s custody. They adopted him into their family.

Spark

- Age: 6 and a half

- Male

- A bouncy, happy kid with a bit of a stubborn streak.

- He never keeps secrets and even if you don’t tell him, there’s a good chance he’ll hear anyway with his big bat ears.

- Has Chaos Abilities, and needs inhibitor rings to keep them in check.

- Shadow and Rouge thought they’d never have biological children. The last time they tried was before they adopted Ember and it . . . didn’t go so well. Needless to say, Spark was very much a surprise. He ended up being born early and needed to be put in the NICU. But after a week, Spark was ready to come home, thanks to the accelerated healing he inherited from Shadow. Ember was initially worried that Spark would replace him, as he was Shadow and Rouge’s biological firstborn. Luckily, he soon came to adore his little brother.

Dawn

- Age: 4

- Female

- A mischievous, cunning, smart little girl who gets into anything and everything. She loves shiny stuff, making things, and getting into her mama’s makeup.

- She’s drawn on the ceiling before.

- She’s in her ‘I can get myself dressed, and I don’t care if these clothes go together’ phase right now.

- She doesn’t have Chaos Abilities

- Shadow and Rouge were reluctant to test their luck again after Spark. But somehow, Dawn came along. There were no complications this time, and the Robotnik family was gifted with a happy, healthy baby girl. Spark loves to mess with her while Ember is a protective older brother.
